I am a 3D modeller at university studying game development where I specialise as an artist. I enjoy hard surface modelling particularly vehicle modelling. I also enjoy working as a technical artist within Unreal Engine creating my own foliage and particle effects. I have also created early builds for two games single-handedly and am working on a few others in my spare time.
I am an eccentric man who is still a child at heart. I often dress as a cowboy and everything else I wear comes from a charity shop. In my spare time I enjoy lots of analogue equivalents to my work life; mainly D&D and Scalextric as well as more recently tabletop wargames. Recently, I have started collecting old recipe books and following them, the results vary. When it comes to the games I play, I enjoy big open worlds that immerse me so well I lose track of time.
I enjoy making use of what I have so I’ve become very adept at fixing electronics, even if I do sometimes have to buy new parts it’s cheaper than a replacement. By doing this I have fixed several controllers, a 42-inch TV and 5 PCs.
BA(Hons) Game Development: Art
Working with several teams across the first 2 years so far I have picked up a competent understanding of how to work well as part of a team.
As well as this I have continued to work on personal projects that have further expanded my technical knowledge as an artist.
Level Three Extended Diploma in Games, VFX and Graphics
This course gave me a good foundation of skills that allowed me to create a game completely from scratch. It is also where I was able to try many different workflows which allowed me to learn what works for me.
Freelancer – Triangular Pixels (2020)
Created a group of detailed hero asset as part of a small team to be used in the game Unseen Diplomacy 2. I’m not allowed to disclose specifics due to an NDA but I can say that it’s usable equipment that the player will hold.
Freelancer – Studio 14 Entertainment (2019)
Worked as part of a small team modelling and texturing modular assets for an outside market to be used in the game Exodus Rising. Since working on it the games title has changed to Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call.

Level One Diploma in Teamwork and leadership
Completed this optional diploma which improved my soft skills and made me a much more confident person. This program had us work with the military and do a variety of things including volunteering at a local zoo.
9 GCSE’s including English & Maths
These gave me a good baseline of education, as I put a focus on computer based courses, I also became fluent with computers through this.
I also feel that it’s relevant to mention that this is where I first realised that making games could be a job.
